The Society of Friends of the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum (SAM) was founded in 1929 to honor the memory of the painter and support the Albi museum. Authorized to receive donations and bequests for the museum's collection, the Society has enriched it since its inception through purchases (lithographs, drawings, posters, etc.) and contributes to the funding of restorations of works held in the museum's collection. On the scientific advice of the museum's curator, several new pieces are regularly added to the collection. The SAM, which now has nearly 500 members, regularly organizes concerts and cultural trips.
